Does "required metadata" apply to API upload?

"Required metadata" in Filerobot refers to all the metadata that needs to be filled when uploading an asset, but this does not apply to API uploads.

API uploads are optimised for faster uploads due to which we skip this check.

As a workaround, you can try to integrate Filerobot Media Asset Widget (FMAW) in your application which supports this functionality. FMAW can be easily integrated using few lines of code.
