PSD is Adobe Photoshop's native file format. Designers and artists use PhotoShop Documents, which are practical tools for creating and storing image data. PSD preserves project information, including layers, images, objects, and their history, often in high resolution.
Cloudimage/DMO accelerates PSD files via CDN for faster delivery and can also convert them to JPG format.
By default, PSD files are automatically converted to JPG.
If you want to preserve the original PSD file format and only use CDN to speed up your files, please follow this guide to configure the Cloudimage settings:
How to set up Cloudimage/DMO to accelerate PSD files?
Important: This guide only applies to PSD URLs that explicitly include the .psd file extension.
Example of a properly structured URL that can be accelerated:
https://token.cloudimg/https://my-domain.com/filepath/image.psd
Example of a PSD URL that might create problems:
https://token.cloudimg/https://my-domain.com/filepath/image
Create a rule for proxying of PSD files
You must log in to your Cloudimage/DMO Admin panel and go to Image Settings -> tab Rules.
Then, you can create a new rule as follows:
Remember to save and then to invalidate the old PSD cached data in order to see the changes to work.
When func=proxy
is applied, the PSD files will be downloaded from their original storage without going through Cloudimage's processing and transferred directly to the CDN servers. Please be aware that in this scenario, features like image resizing and applying filters won't be possible.
